Just your typical planespotter, but not your typical aviation blog.

Cathay Pacific Boeing 747-400 B-HUI

My name is Houston. I’m a student, aviation enthusiast (avgeek), amateur photographer, plane spotter, aviation writer, and blogger living in Hong Kong. I’ve always had a strange obsession with airplanes, and thus I spend my time analyzing aircraft and the aviation industry. This website serves as my blog, which is updated daily with new content as I pursue my love for aviation. Here you’ll find interesting articles I’ve written on the aviation industry or plane spotting hobby, as well as a photo gallery that serves as my portfolio.

Me with my camera (Canon EOS 70D + EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM) plane spotting at Hong Kong International Airport.

So you may be wondering “What exactly is airplane spotting?” Well in short, it’s a hobby that has been growing in popularity over the recent decade or so. What do we do? Not much really, other than spending lazy Saturday afternoons at the airport looking at planes and hanging out with fellow spotters. Most of the time, people see us as either huge aviation dorks or potential terrorists. Obviously neither of these are true, although we do prefer the former over the latter. Some people choose to bring their cameras and take pictures, while other prefer to only watch and observe. It’s a great deal of fun, and I recommend it to everyone.

I hope you enjoy my aviation and plane spotting blog, and please do not hesitate to let me know if you need assistance.
